- Lot Description
- FROM THE SEATTLE COLLECTION Liberty's head with a large star on the coronet, large Roman numeral V inside a wreath with a ribbon at the top with IN GOD WE TRUST and tiny Maltese Cross. Struck in nickel with a plain edge, this is rated as R-5, a relatively "common" Pattern. The fields are more satiny than reflective, they are pleasing with a partial watery finish. The devices are nicely struck. PCGS 7, NGC 6. The last PR65 to sell in auction was back in March 2011 for $2,300. The Collectors Universe value is $2,800. NONE are finer in the designation, making this a great coin for any collector looking to dip their toe into the world of patterns, this is a great one to do so. Cert. Number 38670142 PCGS # 60909.00
