1874 Shield Nickel. MS-66+ (PCGS). The strike is impressively full on this near-Superb 1874 Shield nickel. An absence of die cracks on either side indicates this was struck from a nearly new die pair. Frosty luster yields light champagne toning over each side, and as indicated from the grade assignment, there are no distracting abrasions or carbon spots.
