Lot Description

1722-H French Colonies Sou, or 9 Deniers. La Rochelle Mint. W-11840. VF-25. 78.7 grains. Glossy medium olive brown with no significant flaws. Minor evidence of handling here and there, a single thin striation atop ON of COLONIES, nicely centered if trivially aligned to 12 o'clock on the reverse. Just a handsome example. Ted Craige had not assigned this piece an attribution number. PCGS# 158629. Provenance: From the Ted L. Craige Collection.
