Lot Description
Bold, watery-glassy mirrors shine from below a totally original mottled multi-hued iridescent tone. Shades of olive, lilac, gold, and russet are brought out when the light hits the mirrored fields. The devices are sharply struck and the surfaces are devoid of any marks or hairlines. This coin is a true GEM! The original mintage was only 575. PCGS 20, NGC 25. The most recent PCGS-graded coin sold for $3,055 in September 2015. The current PCGS value is listed at $3,750. This is an attractive coin and the market has unfairly beaten down by the market, so now would be a great time to build a GEM set of Barber halves. Cert. Number 31378810 PCGS # 6554
