- Manley Die State 2.0. Glossy olive-brown patina joins with abundant mint orange color to deliver strong eye appeal. Well defined for the late state of these dies, a few features are a bit soft, peripheries with evidence of die fatigue, although most design elements are boldly to sharply rendered. Of this die pairing, the only one of the 1829-dated half cent issue, Bill Eckberg (2019) reports: "This is another very common variety that is easily available in UNC, though it is very challenging to find with a significant amount of original mint color." This is just such a coin, a premium quality Choice Mint State example for the advanced type collector or discerning half cent enthusiast.
