Losbeschreibung: Blazingly lustrous fiery red surfaces are superb in color and eye appeal. Accents of orange, magenta, and rose appear when rotated in the light. We note a tiny tick or two for accuracy, but none detract from the eye appeal. The double punched date is very dramatic and visible without the aid of a loupe. The mint engraver first placed the date too high to the right, then without totally effacing his error, punched the date digits in the correct position. This piece ranks in the top baker's dozen graded by PCGS. PCGS 10, NGC 6. The only one to sell within the last five years was a CAC approved example that brought $10,575 in the 2016 FUN auction. No other PCGS coin has sold since 2012. The current CU value is $7,850 and we think this coin should bring more than that. Bound for a very fine set of Indian Head cents. Good luck. Cert.
