Lot Description

A handsome blending of dark and milk chocolate patination graces the slightly glossy surfaces of this well preserved early large cent. The devices are bold and uniformly well rendered, save for the weakness seen at the N of UNITED on the reverse, which is a virtually-diagnostic characteristic of this die pairing. Problem-free and without notable blemishes even under magnification, this pleasingly wholesome example is surely deserving of a strong bid. Decidedly choice for the grade.
