Lot Description
1832 Capped Bust Dime. JR-2. Rarity-2. MS-65 (PCGS). CAC. OGH. Wonderfully original with dominant golden-copper iridescence blanketing both sides, we also note highlights of gold and red color that are most pronounced at the borders. Needle sharp in strike, with radiant mint bloom that shines forth powerfully despite the prevalence of toning. There are no detracting abrasions or other blemishes, further confirming this coin as a conditionally rare survivor of the type, issue and die marriage. A premium-quality 65 that appears finer than even the Harold Bareford specimen of the 1832 JR-2 Dime of which the John Reich Collectors Society (1984) speaks so highly.
