Lot Description

1844-O Seated Liberty Half Dollar. WB-103, FS-301 (FS-001). Doubled Date. Fine-12 (PCGS). This dramatic MPD reveals bold remnants of another whole date in the field between the primary date and the base of Liberty's rock. Here represented by an evenly worn Fine, both sides exhibit reddish-russet peripheral highlights to otherwise golden-gray patina. A few wispy abrasions in the fields are not all that significant given the amount of circulation that this coin experienced.
