Lot Description

1652 Massachusetts Bay Colony Pine Tree Threepence. Noe-36, W-640. Rarity-4. Without Pellets. AU-55 (PCGS). 16.4 grains. No pellets at trunk. A splendid steel-gray representative. The surfaces glimmer with traces of luster and have only incidental contact. The reverse legends are essentially complete, and the obverse legends are only missing the tops of a few letters near 7 o'clock. Wavy, as made and characteristic of the Pine Tree production. Listed on page 37 of the 2012 <i>Guide Book</i>.
