Lot Description
1863 Pattern Indian Cent. Judd-300, Pollock-360. Rarity-6+. Proof-65 Cameo (PCGS). Eagle Eye Photo Seal. The obverse and reverse designs are the same that the Mint used to strike regular issue 1863 Indian Cents. The date 1863 is set high in the field with the digit 1 nearly touching the point of the truncation of the bust. Struck in copper-nickel with a reeded edge.<br />     Semi-mirrored fields offer some contrast with more satin-textured devices. A fully impressed specimen with light, even golden-tan color to both sides. There are no mentionable blemishes save for a few wispy hairlines in the left-obverse field. Very low pop!
