A spectacular example of this late date Walking Liberty half dollar issue in every sense. From a technical standpoint this coin is truly superb, with essentially flawless surfaces that radiate mint brilliance. A somewhat soft strike left some of the highest details a touch flat, which is normal. Regal album toning in speckled sandy-gold and russet further sets this coin apart from the vast majority of Mint State 1944 half dollars certified in today's market. For the collector of Superb Gem Walking Liberty half dollars or attractively toned type coins, this is an exceptional piece that deserves placement in a fabulous cabinet.
