Lot Description

Rum'n'Cola Collection. Snow-5, FS-401 "die lines at ear". 128 graded MS-65, 18 higher at NGC. Merchant's tokens struck in amok near the later years of the Civil War, spelling the end of copper-nickel cents as they were replaced by the new alloy. Here is a fabulous example just in terms of type or for a date set, but NGC did not call out the better Snow variety, caused by deep die polish lines around the ear and made popular by cherry-pickers. Wonderfully lustrous with perfect color.
