1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 54-k, W-5295. Rarity-3. No Sprig Above Plow, Serpent Head. EF-45 BN (NGC). Always a popular Maris number, and represented here by a predominantly smooth, generally well struck example. The planchet is flawed at left obverse, less so at left reverse, these areas with the only mentionable lack of detail.
