Lot Description

Toning nearly always prevails for any given Missouri commemorative half-dollar, but seldom does it attain the aesthetically pleasing level seen here. The rich, pearlescent appearance certainly helps, elevated by some modest, pastel rainbow hues arranged in a near-circular pattern on both sides. The strike seems unusually sharp for the type, providing distinct separation between the individual strands of fur in the tail of the cap. Only minor ticks on either side limit the grade.
