- Lot 372 1853 N-23 R3+ PCGS graded MS62 Brown.Frosty uniform medium brown and light chocolate with hints of underlying very faded mint color bleeding through on the reverse. A choice cent with mint state eye appeal, but there is a hint of friction on the highest points of the devices. A dull, very light rim nick over the T in UNITED can help identify this cent. E-MDS, die state a, with dull diagonal die lines from the dentils below the 8. The stray 1 hidden in the hair just right of the ear is clear. Our grade is AU55.The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label.
