1873 Silver Three-Cent Piece. Close 3. Proof-65 Cameo (NGC). CAC. A Gem example of this final Trime issue that only saw production of Proofs for sale to collectors. Frost white and mostly untoned on the reverse, the obverse is in bold contrast with the obverse that boasts intense orange, magenta and deep cobalt blue at the peripheries. A simple gorgeous, CAC-verified piece that should be reholdered into one of the Edge View types, as the current gasket is hiding some of the superb beauty of this coin.
