- Pretty rose to orange-gold surfaces display frosty luster and an excellent strike. This would be an ideal coin for the type collector and is sure to please even the most discriminating eyes. The penultimate year for the denomination and for circulating gold of all denominations, the 1932 eagle is also the most available of the later issues. Substantial numbers of coins are known in Mint State, but almost all below Gem. Above MS-65, the 1932 eagle is especially scarce. This is a standout example destined for the finest of eagle collections.
