1912-S Liberty Head Nickel. MS-64+ (PCGS). CAC. Each side presents an essentially untoned appearance, save for just a bit of golden color as the coin turns under a light. A faint contact mark is noted above the 2 of the date. The 1912-S is notable as the first nickel issue struck at the San Francisco Mint and has a mintage of only 238,000 pieces.
