1787 Vermont Copper. RR-14, Bressett 10-K, W-2105. Rarity-4. Bust Right. Fine-12. 118.83 grains. Deep olive-brown with some microroughness here and there. Obverse rim tight to tops of AUCTORI, tiny patches of roughness through VERMON and at the top of the effigy, otherwise sound physically, reverse rim to tops of ET LI,natural fissure at ET, patch of roughness at 10 o'clock in the field, faint natural fissure across Liberty's legs, other wise no marks. An entirely suitable and collectable example of Ryder-14. PCGS# 560. Provenance: Acquired in trade, March 2002, details of transaction otherwise not recorded.
