Lot Description

1817 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-106a. Rarity-3. Single Leaf Below Wing. AU-53 (NGC). Medium steel-gray throughout with golden accents surrounding the devices. The strike is sharp and the usual die cracks are crisp, including one above Liberty's cap and another through the reverse peripheral legends. A short scratch is noted on Liberty's bust, other handling marks and this are easy to overlook given the handsome nature. Tough to find this well preserved in this later single leaf die state. PCGS# 39516.
