- Lot Description
- A lustrous Mint State Carson City double eagle that has very pleasing satiny frost beams on both sides. Sharply struck devices display full frosty details on Liberty's portrait. A few teeny ticks are noted, but they are hidden and appropriate for the assigned grade. PCGS 149, NGC 156. This is one of only 2 NGC MS61+ graded. An NGC MS61 CAC sold in February 2017 for $14,100 and a non-CAC NGC MS62 sold for $18,800 in January 2017. This coin was removed from a PCGS MS62 holder and the consignor gave up trying to get it back in. His loss could be your gain. This coin really does have a good look and will fit in nicely in any high grade set of Liberty double eagles. Good luck! Cert. Number 4484583-001 PCGS # 9001
