Lot Description

1787 Connecticut Copper. Miller 10-E, W-2865. Rarity-5. Mailed Bust Left. VF-20 (PCGS). Dies aligned 270 degrees, Liberty's head points to 3 o'clock rather than noon. Deep golden tan throughout. Obverse off-center to top, rim through RI and CON, swelling and die breaks at UCTOR obscure much of the details there, no prominent marks visible other than a natural faint fissure at NN, reverse nicely centered, rim tight to tops of INDE, date weak and partly obscured by a natural planchet flaw present when struck. Relatively scarce, pleasing for the grade. PCGS# 349.
