Lot Description

1850 Braided Hair Cent. N-17. Rarity-4. Grellman State-a. MS-62BN (NGC). Lovely light grayish steel surfaces with accents of gold and pale blue-green in the recesses. Lustrous and pleasing with only scattered light marks commensurate with the grade. The early die state with strong die lines on both sides. The obverse is misaligned slightly as is typical of this die marriage. Not far from Condition Census quality for the variety. EAC:EF45 Provenance: Ex Gary Adkins Associates, September 2013.
