1842 Seated Liberty Quarter. Large Date. Briggs 1-A. AU-53 (PCGS). This satin to semi prooflike survivor is lightly toned in iridescent pinkish-silver patina. A sharply struck, minimally worn example from a reported mintage of only 88,000 business strike quarters delivered during calendar year 1842, all of which display the Large Date logotype.
