Lot Description

1814 Capped Bust Half Dollar. O-103. Rarity-1. MS-63 (PCGS). Fully lustrous with a hint of silver-gray patina overall The surfaces are clean, although there are a number of die clash marks visible in the fields on each side. A decent strike for the variety, with minor softness on a couple of obverse stars and the eagle's talons. As is diagnostic on the O-103 variety, a large die crack connects the eagle's left (facing) wing with the scroll above. A handsome example, especially for the conservative assigned grade. PCGS# 6105.
