Lot Description

BB Die State I. A very nice circulated Bust dollar at the EF grade level. Warm lavender and olive-gray patina lightens a bit toward the central obverse, where faint hairlines from a long-ago wipe are noted for accuracy. In-hand viewing, however, reveals no sizeable or otherwise distracting marks. A couple of shallow edge bruises on the reverse are also noted for accuracy, but a small flan flaw outside the letters T in LIBERTY, final A in AMERICA is as made. Boldly to sharply defined overall with uncommonly strong eye appeal for a Heraldic Eagle Bust dollar in this grade.
