- 1885 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Proof-63 Cameo (NGC). CAC. Handsome golden-gray patina blankets lightly cameoed surfaces, the peripheries revealing more vivid cobalt blue iridescence as the coin dips into a light. The 1885 is one of the lowest mintage dates in the extensive Liberty Seated half dollar series, production for the year confined to the Philadelphia Mint and amounting to just 5,200 pieces and 930 Proofs.
