158.2 grains. A really beautiful copper, with the kind of smooth and glossy surfaces that all New Jersey coppers would have if the world was a better place. The obverse shows ideal two-tone contrast between tan devices and rich mahogany fields, while the reverse shows a bit more blended medium brown and mahogany color. Sharply struck and well centered on both sides, with superb detail for the grade. A short scratch in front of the snout and two shorter, thinner scratches above NU of UNUM are all that separate this coin from something like perfection. Early die state with no sign of a reverse break, SHI Die State 1.
