What an incredible example of this very scarce Small Motto variety. A very strong mint luster radiates brilliantly on both sides, bringing out the strong remnants of original mint red color that make this PQ GEM very close to a RB. Sharply struck devices on both sides show all details well defined from an exacting blow from the dies. As tied for FINEST in the color category, and none are numerically finer in any color category, this exceptionally attractive coin will delight any type, two cent, or Civil War collector. PCGS 3, NGC 6, CAC 1. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000 and it would not shock us if this very high end example brought more. Keep in mind that with a touch more red, a PCGS MS66 RB CAC would cost close to $10,000 (if you can find one, no PCGS MS66 RB has sold in auction since our December 2013 Auction V).
