Lot Description

O-102a. Shimmering, brilliant silver luster delights the eye, especially when rotated in a light. A strong glass does reveal some ancient hairlines in the fields but none are singularly distracting. PCGS 21, NGC 9. This is the Charles DeOlden coin, per our consignor's notes, purchased privately from David Kahn in December 2017. Prior to that, it sold for $2,820 in the 2015 ANA auction. Very rare any finer, PCGS has only graded 15 finer. A coin that would fit nicely in any Everyman Registry set of Capped Bust half dollars. Cert. Number 30802137 PCGS # 6114
