1811/09 Capped Bust Dime. JR-1, the only known dies. Rarity-3. VF-30 (NGC). A handsome mid grade example richly and evenly toned in olive-charcoal. All major design elements are bold, the more recessed areas of the design retaining considerable sharpness of detail. Only marginally more available than the first year 1809, the 1811/09 is among the more elusive issues of the Capped Bust dime type with only 250 to 350 coins believed extant in all grades.
