Lot Description

1858/7 Flying Eagle Cent. Snow-1, FS-301 (FS-006). Snow Die Stage A. AU-55 (PCGS). This minimally worn survivor readily reveals the diagnostics of this elusive overdate from the short-lived Flying Eagle Cent series of 1856-1858. Remnants of the 7 underdigit are bold, and the die chip in the lower-obverse field is also sharp. Mostly even sandy-orange patina blankets surfaces that are free of significant blemishes. An otherwise bold strike wanes only toward the right borders.
