Lot 413 1840 N-6 R1 Large Date PCGS graded MS65 Brown, CAC Approved (OGH).Lustrous medium steel brown and light chocolate with subtle hints of light bluish steel overtone. A very attractive cent. The only notable marks are a trail of very light microscopic ticks over the bust tip and a spot of slightly darker brown toning (not carbon) off the right top of the second A in AMERICA. LDS, die state c. The repunching on the 4 & 0 in the date is still visible but the point to the left from star 13 is gone. Housed in an Old Green Label Holder. Our grade is MS62+.
