Lot Description

1787 Fugio Copper. Pointed Rays. Newman 18-H, W-6950. Rarity-5. UNITED STATES, 4 Cinquefoils. VG-8 (PCGS). 143.5 grains. Medium brown with lighter devices over mostly smooth surfaces. A wedge-shaped flaw is noted left of the sundial, another similar flaw over UNITED, pit right of ONE, short scratch inside rings near 9 o'clock. A pretty pleasing piece for the grade, an easily identified example of the variety with notable die cracks on both sides.
