BD-6 provides the only obverse with a 7x6 arrangement of the stars, and one can quickly ascertain by the unbalanced arrangement why the choice quickly reverted to 8x5 for future obverse dies. Canary-gold color prevails as the dominant hue, scarcely interrupted by brief apricot accents next to the rims. Sharp strikes are not actually all that unusual for early gold, although this example suffers a minor shallow are within the shield, causing the vertical lines to merge.
