1884-CC Liberty Head Eagle. Winter 1-A, the only known dies. AU-53 (NGC). Brilliant and lustrous honey gold with traces of mint frost in the protected areas. Modestly circulated but devoid of marks readily apparent to the unassisted eye. From a mintage of 9,925 pieces, and the last eagle coinage from Carson City until the 1890-CC issue. Choice for the grade and worthy of strong bidder support. Scarce in AU grades, and downright rare in Mint State. A grand opportunity for an advanced eagle collector or Carson City Mint aficionado.
