Lot Description

1788 New Jersey Copper. Maris 77-dd, W-5535. Rarity-3 for die state. Head Right, Running Fox. VF-20 (PCGS). Deep olive brown with rose-brown high points. The overall eye appeal is fine despite some microgranularity that comes to light under low magnification. No marks of consequence assail the unassisted eye. Running Fox die marker clearly defined on the reverse at 8 o'clock between the first quatrefoil and the letter E. An altogether pleasing example of this scarce and popular variety. PCGS# 524.
