Lot Description
Ex Gerald R. Forsythe Collection, as noted on the oversized holder. What a high end quality and visually wonderful SUPERB GEM example of the date, TIED FOR FINEST GRADED. You know that if it was from the Forsythe Collection, the quality is all there and then some! WOW! The intensely mirrored fields are deeply beaming with bold nickel-sliver reflection. Razor sharp, thickly frosted devices provide a high end cameo contrast. A delicate golden dusting on both sides give this lovely coin a touch of color. The eye appeal is off the charts and it would be impossible to find a FINER example! Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 21, NGC 20, CAC 18. PCGS has graded 3 in PR66+ CAM and NONE FINER. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,000 and we sold a different example for a world record $11,163 in our December 2019 Regency Auction. Bid accordingly, bound for another FINEST set. Cert. Number 37482101 PCGS # 83822
