Description du lot
A high end, condition census O-105. Glossy mint luster provides a backlight to the delicate pastel periwinkle, peach, champagne, and olive tone. The absolute highest points of the design are a trifle soft, but the overall strike leaves the details boldly defined. Overall, this coin has a very pretty eye appeal better than most examples of this date which often comes with a more subdued, lackluster appearance. PCGS 66, NGC 40, CAC 16. The only PCGS/CAC MS64+ to sell in auction realized $7,050 in a July 2013 auction, and more recently the non-CAC NGC MS64+ Col. Green-Eric Newman coin sold for $8,225 in November 2013. This coin should see spirited bidding, and keep in mind that a 65 will cost into the five-figure price range. For those collecting choice and gem bust halves, this coin is a must see!
