Lot 181 1828 N-5 R2 PCGS graded AU55, CAC Approved.Choice frosty light to medium brown. Mint luster covers the protected areas on both sides and this cent has excellent eye appeal. The only marks are a few specks of darker toning (not carbon) over star 13 and a couple more on the reverse. MDS with a fine die crack through the top of TED in UNITED. The obverse die was slightly misaligned to K-3 but dentils show all the way around both sides. A nice cent with just a touch of wear on the highest points of the devices. Our grade is EF45. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 1; 4 finer: 2 in 61, 1 in 63, 1 in 66. PCGS #36886.Estimated Value $500 - UP Ex Thomas D. Reynolds 12/13/2008-Chuck Hall Collection.
