- 1851 Liberty Head Eagle. MS-61 (PCGS). Beautiful rose-orange surfaces are sharply struck overall with billowy mint luster throughout. An underrated issue, as are many pre-Civil War era Liberty Head eagles, the 1851 is remarkably rare in Mint State for a Philadelphia Mint issue with a respectable mintage of 176,328 pieces.
