- 1801 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-213, B-3. Rarity-3. EF-40 (PCGS).
Visually pleasing surfaces reveal vivid cobalt blue and rose-apricot undertones to dominant olive-gray patina as the coin dips into a light. Impressively smooth for a lightly circulated early dollar, appreciable luster remains to complement generally bold definition. One of the scarcer die marriages of the 1801 silver dollar, BB-213 is more elusive than BB-211 and B-212, especially in the finer circulated and Mint State grades. BB Die State II-III (intermediate die state).
Provenance: From the Bill Barber Collection.
PCGS# 6893. NGC ID: 24XA.
