- WOW does this $3 POP! In the days before numerical grading, this coin would have been called a fully GEM BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED example with a bold, thick and satiny frost that just billows around the devices and in the fields. Crisply struck with full definition in Liberty's hair, headdress, and the reverse wreath. A light tick or two away from a 65 grade, and the eye appeal is certainly on par with many we have seen so graded. PCGS 164, NGC 94, CAC 32. Only 17 are graded MS64+ at PCGS and the most recent one to sell in auction was two years ago, in our February 2016 Regency Auction which was during a low point in the market--before that they were bringing $7,000-$10,000. Keep in mind that MS65s sell in the $11,000-$12,000 range, making this oh so close to GEM a great value in our opinion. Cert. Number 85199523 PCGS # 7969
