1870 Round $1. BG-1205. Rarity-4+. Liberty Head. MS-63 (PCGS). This is the Lantern-Jawed Goofy Head variety, so named because of the distinct shape to Liberty's profile. A beautiful khaki-orange example, both sides are bright with a semi-prooflike finish easily seen. A few wispy abrasions hardly detract. Tied for finest certified at PCGS for this conditionally challenging type.
