Lot Description

LETTERED EDGE. A popular recut denomination, one of a few in the series. This frosty coin has only a slight blush of clear gold toning. We note some light lines seen on both sides that were perhaps lightly dipped long ago. PCGS 16, NGC 8. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $2,200, and the most recent one to sell was in the ANA auction in August 2016 which realized a very weak $1,116 (we do not think it sold), as the same coin sold for $1,645 in the 2016 CSNS auction.
