Lot Description

1786 New Jersey Copper. W-4825, Maris 15-T. URS-8. Narrow Shield, Straight Plow Beam. AU-50 (PCGS). An original orange-brown example with a few swirls of slightly deeper gray-brown tinting scattered about on the obverse. Nicely struck on both sides, even if the denticulation is partially off the flan, this piece retains overall bold definition in the presence of only light wear. A few wispy grazes in the right-obverse field are mentioned solely for accuracy.
