Lot Description

1787 New Jersey Copper. Maris 54-k, W-5295. Rarity-3. Serpent Head. EF-45 (PCGS). CAC. Deep olive brown surfaces exhibit mild microporosity under low magnification, old and shallow obverse dig below SA at the horse's muzzle, other old marks vertically on plow above date, old scratches from top of plow handles to bottom of horse's mane, reverse with old shallow digs, one at 7 o'clock, another on shield at juncture of vertical and horizontal stripes at 3 o'clock, patch of green patination at UM.
