Lot Description

29.0 mm. 97.3 grains. Neatly pierced for suspension at 12 o'clock, as usual, with essentially no resulting distortion to the flan. Warm medium gray through the exposed areas of the fields and somewhat deeper gray on the motifs which are largely outlined by more brilliant silver. There is a small dig at the D in WORLD, and a few just right of the urn on the reverse, but the eye appeal is excellent and the preservation is nearly perfect for most collectors. White metal Funeral Urn medals seem to largely be in superb condition or rough, while very nice examples in the mid-range of quality are less commonly seen and never go wanting for collector attention.
