Lot Description

Smartly impressed and crisp in most areas, both sides have a softly frosted texture to the finish. They are also lightly toned with wisps of iridescent rose-russet that appear to drift toward the rims. Only 508,000 half dollars came off the press at the San Francisco Mint during the first year of production for the Walking Liberty design type, and this is a scarce survivor in Gem Mint State.
